The Transylvania tumbler comes from the Transylvania region in Romania.
The German's name is "Siebenburger Doppelkuppige Tummler" and in Romania it's even named "Jucator Ardelenesc Bimotat" or "jucatori dublu mot de Ardeal".
It's comes from of Tîrgu-Mures city, this breed is born around 1890.
Little Pigeon (300g maxi), sportive and proud walk, with various coulours (blue, black, red, dun, blue Andalou, Almond, tiger...).
The attitude is near of horizontal, a medium beak, short and smooth legs. But the particularity of this breed is the 2 head's ornaments : Rear and Front crested. The rear crest can be with or without a bow.
The Breeding of this Transylvania Tumbler is simple but it's a pigeon that eat very slowly, you need to have a specific loft only for this breed.
The Transylvania Tumbler is a simple tumbler, the double tumbles are allowed, but not the rolling.
It flies in closed formation. The fly is speed, and smooth, frequently it floats with wings in "V".
The general fly is in low altitude, I never saw high-fly at home.
